A puncture again!

I had my afternoon bike trip cut short today after yet another puncture.
After all the hassle of bringing the bike out of garage, oiling the chain, putting on my heated gloves and letting the bike really warm up, I set off on my normal route along the back lanes and up through the forest, still on tarmac I suddenly felt the bike getting hard to steer. I looked down and saw that the tyre was flat again. This happened to me a few weeks ago and I ended up taking it to my local bike garage to change (new tube and fit all for 15, and no rim scratches, better than what I can do).
Has anyone had the same problem as me. The bike's only done 1600 miles and the tyres are mint.

After my local farmer cut his Hawthorne hedge scattering thorn cuttings over the road I had 5 punctures in 7 weeks on my push bike. They should clear up the mess and don't get me going about the mud they leave. Steve.

Best to fix punctures yourself; I've learnt the hard way not to trust tyre fitters which resulted in a flat on a remote road in France...the so called tyre expert fitted the wrong size tube which then creased and split.
your second puncture could be a spoke sticking into the tube or an unwanted object protruding through the tyre that was not removed when repairing the first.

could also be just bad luck.....

The spoke nipples on my bike had two little raised dimples on each nipple - these cut through my rim tape and the tube eventually - took a dremel to them and fixed problem.

As the title says.
Puncture again!
That's three so far in six months of ownership and only 2040 miles covered. First puncture in the rear.
The Tourance tyres will be heading for the bin!
