Fitting a new Creptus 2 into 1 exhaust.
I bought a
Creptus 2 into 1 exhaust system this winter and yesterday I started to mount it on the bike.
The weight difference is HUGE.. I use a kitchen weight scale that has an upper limit of 5 kg. Even one of the original silencers is too much so I can not weigh them. The Creptus silencer weighs in at 2.490 kg and the three pipes weigh around 500-800 gr each. When ordering I could select what type of material and finish I wanted. I went with mat stainless steel as material, oval shape with a conical end cap. Here are some detail pictures of the pipes. Picture of the collector. Picture of other side collector. Exhaust flange that mounts to the head. Side view flange. New original gaskets (Not included with exhaust..) Front pipes mounted, Good fit and no need to bend or grind anything. They are not yet fully tighten.. Some mounting paste added to avoid leaks. Collector in place.. with springs As you can see, the brake reservoir is moved using the included bracket. The tube is a little short so that has to be changed to a longer one so that the reservoir can be more upright. There is two clamps for the silencer but I will only use one since it is enough. So one is saved as a spare.. Detail image of the end cap.. Inside silencer.. As you can see it is straight with no chambers.. Back of silencer. Bad picture of the logo.. Since the silencer is a tight fit to the frame I used some washers and a spacer to get it enough far from the frame to get clearance from the wheel. As you can see the spacers and washers got it out from the wheel. Read view. Exhaust in place.. With the silencer there were two optional Decibel killers. I am using the "open one" as it is a good compromise... I have only test started the bike as I am also doing some other work, the sound is good and has a deep tone. What I think is one of the best parts of this exhaust is the price to quality. I paid 290 euro including shipping to Sweden! I guess the price has gone up the last two months but it is still a good buy. |

Excellent write up
Looks good (a lot better than the MM system IMHO), looks decent quality, saves a huge lump of weight over stock and other twin pipe systems, and at 290euro, it was an absolute bargain too! |

creptus 2 into 1
Hi that exhaust looks awesome. Can you tell me what diameter and length you chose for the silencer? What made you choose springs over clamps? I have emailed them for a quote. Thanks Alastair

Have a look at the bracket that MM supply you will need to get the rear brake pipe further away than it is in the picture.

Bodysnatcher: it is the oval silencer in mat stainless steel with a conical end cap. I had no option to select the diameter or length. It was predefined. But if you have specific demands I guess they will help. It is handmade.
Waynovetten: yes the bracket for the reservoir is a tight fit and leaves the brake hose to close to the heat from the exhaust pipe. This could also heat up the brake fluid and cause brake failure. I will move the resovoir and reroute the hose further away. |

For info: The silencer is 450mm long excluding the endcaps. The diameter is oval but it is around 100mm wide in the narrow section (width).
