XTX luggage options
Had the orange XTX 6 months now, it's found it's own on the twisty bits and it's done an 800 miler over a weekend! It may not be a tourer but I'm planning to take it round Europe next year. If I decide this is the bike to do it on, what luggage options can anyone recommend? The high level exhausts must prevent throw over panniers! Anything else anyone can suggest on the bike other than obvious servicing needs? I've advanced the setting for surging but not too far. It's eased but not gone. Also I'm concerned on making it run lean therefore unreliable if I'm away for 6 months? Cheers in advance for any help.

Thanks for that advice. I looked at tail packs, but for more luggage space I looked at throw over panniers but the exhausts are in the way. Looked at frames at mo tech and Ventura too.

Did you look at these? I have no experience of them but if I was touring on my XTR, I'd also want to find a way to accommodate soft panniers.

Whilst they may not sort out your fixed luggage problems I
really recommend these bags:
http://www.ewetsuits.com/acatalog/Dr...s-uk.html#a841 Very, very, waterproof, well made and it's a British firm with quick delivery and bloody good prices. I have this 40L bag in yellow (get black as they don't stay yellow long!): http://www.ewetsuits.com/acatalog/mo...g-holdall.html The 30l is a bit too small (good for overnight) and the 60l, whilst roomy is a bit big on the pillion seat. I also have this bag: http://www.ewetsuits.com/acatalog/motorbike-drybag.html Fantastic at 11.50 I used it as a stuff sack with my tent and other camping gear in it. This is my Tenere loaded up in Tiblisi after riding through a massive rain storm across Georgia. The yellow bag is the 40L - utterly waterproof. I can't recommend them enough!

I use a rollbag, works fine for me.
