Exclamation Here, here!

Hello everyone and welcome to a new idea in our forum, following a very good suggestion from one of our new members, we realized we don't exactly have a series of reviews or even personal impressions about the XTX and XTR bikes all located under one roof.

We do however have quite a few mentions scattered around the forum, but to find them all and move them here, would be some job! (which we are planning to do anyway, cause we never turn down any task here, big or small) but we are welcoming volounteers to put down their write ups here with their findings, impressions, review etc etc.

In the end a good collection of these would be helpful both to new owners and to those looking to get an XT to help them decide.

Thanks to all for you help which as always is more than welcome.

Cool about my new XTX

hi there!
I just bought my new 2007 XTX (a week ago) and I have to say that although I loved this bike since it was introduced, however I had to make a bunch of phone calls to friends here in Greece in order to get as much information about the goods and bads of this bike before I decide to buy it.
The first thing I heard was about the "famous" cut-outs which still are a pain in the b..t for many XT owners --as far as I can see of course--.
I was also told that the last couple of years this problem was fixed and I would not have any trouble with my 2007 XTX (well.... this remains to be seen)
So I really hope this has been fixed and I am glad to see that through the tech-forum you give so much help to the members anyway. Good job guys.
So anyway, the bike seems to be the IDEAL transportation within the city limits and not only!!! So cool when you drive smooth and slow, so wild when you you feel like waking up the neighbours hehe...
take care you all.

It's the first time I hear about cut outs and my bike has started doing it today. i just cuts out for some reason, i thought it might have something to do with the weather seeing as it got really cold in the last 2 or 3 days. Where can I find out more about it?
