Hello guys, newish person here.

Hello all, I bought my XT660X a few months ago, second bike since I passed my A2 at the end of June after my Honda VRX 400 Roadster (Not my style) and need a little advice, since buying my bike I have added a DNA Stage 2 Air filter, and I have added V-Force exhausts, and want to know what kinds of little mods I can do to it, for the surging and to make it ride a little smoother etc, just replaced the drive rubbers and that helped a fair bit as the old ones were worn pretty bad, any info would be much appreciated, thanks! Also how to make the front forks slightly stiffer, thanks!

(When I first got it)

Welcome on board mate.

Nice bike - I like it too!

Have a read of this regarding curing the surging.

You almost certainly need to do something about the fuelling after fitting free-flowing air filters - you'll be making a bike that already suffers from a weak A/F ratio weaker still, which is one of the main contributors to surging on XTs.

Adding some preload spacers to the forks will help sharpen things up at the front relatively cheaply.
