My PCV arrived today

I read the instructions and it says if you have 2007 XT you may need a 02 optimizer ? or it will send an error code ?

And I am no mechanic so should I get it fitted by a pro ?

Do not get that type of O2 eliminator. They do not work!

What you need is a Dynojet O2 Optimiser, which you'll find almost impossible to get hold of as Dynojet only sell them with PCVs in a bundle, although I think they will sell one to you direct if you can prove you have a PCV (serial number etc.)

Better bet would be to get Kev's O2 Controller, which looks similar and does the same job. Send him a PM to buy with forum discount.

Note that the one in your link is an "eliminator", the other two (which actually work) are "optimisers" or "controllers" they don't actually remove the function of the O2 sensor, they correct the signal sent to the ECU.

Just a thought, before you splash your cash, you are double sure you bike has got an O2 sensor in the exhaust header? Some 2007 plate bikes will undoubtedly be new old stock 2006 model year bikes without the sensor. 2007 was a bit of a cross-over year.

Yep. Just separate the O2 sensor connector and plug the two ends of the O2 controller into each side of the original connector. Simples.
