Hello from Denmark.

Hi.
I will try to make a long story short.
I am Torben (59 years of age) and I live in Denmark.
Here is some words about the bikes I have owned.

First bike was a Nimbus 750 from 1936 which I was the proud owner off from 1974-1976.

Then I wanted to get a BMW to tour the world, but got into sailing instead, a relation ship that lasted until 2009.

But along the way I needed transportation so in 1999 I bought a new Yamaha SR 250 Classic, a wonderful little bike that I had for 2 years and did 40.000 km on.

Swopped that one for a new Yamaha XT 600 E in 2001 and did 54.000 km on that bike until I finally sold it in 2008.

Mind you, I road all my bikes, all year round, in all kind of weather, just lowering speed to suit the circumstances. Furthermore, my bikes have always lived outdoors (both the Yamaha’s never let me down, starting every morning and never had any thing break down) with no protection from the elements, summer and winter, so when I no longer was in need of transportation (because my work had moved within bicycling range) I ended my relation with motorcycling, without looking back.

Then some months back a friend of mine (after many attempts) persuaded me to try his Suzuki XF 650 Freewind, and what a surprise it was, being turned on again.

And thus, here I am with my Yamaha XT 660 X (2008) bought new on summer solstice 2014 with 0 km on the clock (870 km as of to day). This bike, which I am totally in love with, lives indoors to keep her good looks. It is a super bike, a SuperMoto.

Best of wishes,
BlazeAway

Welcome on board - you are not the only Dane here.

Do you know http://tenere.dk ? Might be worth a look if you consider some gravel riding :-)

Hi majland.
Yes I know http://tenere.dk though its been quite a while since I have had a look at the site.
No, I do not do serious off road riding, though I have done a lot of riding on the small dirt roads of Sweden.
In fact, I am all ready dreaming of the XT660Z as a second bike, but only if I hit a bucket of gold, which, God willing, I will do one day.
Nice to see that you are from Denmark, so I hope to see your bike live one day.
Best,
BlazeAway
