New XT690??

Having read rave reviews on the MT07, I was thinking if they'll use this motor in a new XT????? Seems to me that the XT is now some 10 years old in its present guise, & needs replacing soon. I would love an XT690R with semi-knobblies as a dual sport thing to commute on. I've been thinking about a KTM690 Enduro, but mega expensive. Come on Yamaha, lets have some modernisation!

Milan

I could easily be wrong, but I also think that engine in a new XT has got to be a bit of a no brainer for Yamaha. If I was a betting man I'd say we will see the launch in Milan in November.
