Hi, thinking of buying an XT

Hello all,
I'm a 27 yr old bloke from Ireland. Been a member since last year, reading up on these fine machines.

I'm considering buying an '04 XTX as my first bike in the next few days, but have had some apprehensions due to the renowned fuelling issue.

I've just ordered the modification dvd/download from Kev so hopefully that will put my mind at ease.

Looking forward to hopefully joining the community!

I've got a 05 and the fuelling isn't really that bad, I've done the Kev mod, etc and it really does help, its still there a little, but you learn to ride around it, its what gives the bike character, I bought another bike six weeks ago, I've still not sold the xtx, just can't force myself too
Give it a good test ride, I'm sure you love it as much as we all do, have you seen how many the captains had

I really never found it a big issue even before the kevs mods..as said yer learn to ride around it..
The main trick is to not labour the motor.. keep the revs upa bit..
Only in traffic around the city you notice it... At highway speeds it's gone...
Get the kev's mods and do the throttle mod then it's all but sorted..

Thanks for the words of welcome everyone, I went to view a red 05 XTX today with 12,000km on it, I think it's gonna be the one! Will post pics in the relevant section as soon as I get her.
