I drove 950km today from Belgium to Austria and I am still able to walk and sit. My previous bike was a cbr1000 and with that i would be dead by now. Btw, love my Conti trail attack 2

Good to hear that! I'm about to go from UK to Czech Republic about 1200KM and I'm dreading that trip. I own Suzuki RF 900 and went to trip about 350km. I was seriously considering to shoot myself after 2 hours. It is great bike but I'm quite tall and it is too much of sport bike and not enough of touring. I hope I won't suffer much on Tenere.
