A new Tenere owner

Hi all,

just thought I'd check in and say hi. I joined the forum a while back but never had the bike. Took me a few years to buy it!

Currently I'm based in Zurich, Switzerland, having moved from the UK. Bought a locally owned 2011 Tenere that was re-sprayed and had a few accessories added to it.

Once I get the hang of the photo upload I'll return with a picture too!

Regards,

Gio

Not the easiest thing to do here in Switzerland, anything that isn't standard needs to be homologated and if they spot that little piece of equipment they will say that the bike is not road worthy! If I can install it without it being visible then I'd do it.

I have the Akra exhausts on it and it seems to go well enough at the moment.

The kev mods can be hidden away easily. The onyl way to find them is to start taking things off.

Ask Kev on here and he will show you.

Hi all,

thanks for all the replies. I have been busy the last few days and so didn't get a chance to get log on here.

Attempt at uploading a picture!

This was the week before I picked up the bike. As you will see there is a raised seat which is stretching me a bit, am on my toes when at a standstill, so would be willing to swap it for a normal one, if anyone is interested.

Will look into the Kev mod. For now, just want to get used to it and want to practice the tube replacement should I need to do that while on a trip.

Previous owner was a metal worker so he made his own panniers and rack, along with the enlarged foot for the side stand.

Bike is in for its 10,000km service along with a few other little additional pieces.

Bye for now and will keep you updated as I go along.

Gio
