Ohlins Pricing XT660R Rear Shock ?

Guys

Just looking for a little assistance and advice regarding Ohlins pricing.

I'm preparing my XT660R for it's next big trip ... the front stock forks are being rebuilt by a local specialist (revalving, new springs etc) and I'm also looking at replacing the rear shock with an Ohlins YA 418.

Now the best pricing I can find seems to be from Phat Performance Parts in the good old US of A at around US$650 plus shipping to Oz.

Does anyone have any cheaper alternative sources.

A Ohlins 46DR1 from Germany cost me just under $700 NZ on my door step..
Then another $600 NZ to have a remote res with adjustable high & low speed
compressing damping fitted along with the valve stack altered...
But even the basic 46DR1 is a varst improvement over the yamaha unit...

Thanks for the reply ... looks like the prices from a number of sources all seem around that level (allowing for exchange variations). Not sure I'm quite going to go down the remote res route but will look to get my man to tune it a little to suit my bulk

BTW I am currently tripping around NZ on my annual work trip and spent a few days in ChCh (my home town) over Easter ... did think about looking you up but unfortunately run out of time !!! Visting ChCh always proves to be a very emotional experience for a returning local these days ... the citizens have my personal admiration ...

Everytime I come over and do this trip I go back to Oz with plans to ship the S10 over and undertake a "proper" roadtrip ... maybe next year ... Yeah Right !

What that is a cheap price for a hlins. Here in sweden it costs about 800$ even if I live nearby the factory in Upplands Vsby/Stockholm
