Hi all / '13 XTX / query.

Hi all - have gravitated from a '08 fireblade to an XTX after lots of research and thinking - partly driven by change of commute etc. Fabulous to get off the bike without aching neck and legs - and to be able to see above traffic - there is a whole new world out there!

Apologies for silly query - but I have removed the snorkel and fitted DNA stage 1 and 2 filters. Haven't really ridden bike yet as did this last night. Am now a bit paranoid that I need to fit the Kev Fuel mod before I can use it again - obviously don't want to ****** things up - but is it okay if it runs a bit lean for a spell ?

Cheers.

Dave.

and to

Well since you've fitted a stage 2 filter, you might end up running the bike a bit leaner and ideally the Kev Mod is the best solution, they are only cheap and if I were you I would order one soon, simply send a pm to Kev and he will be happy to sell you one and post it to you but in the meantime, adjust the fuelling on your dash according to the link below, and keep checking your spark plug in the next few days to see if it is too dry and burnt or otherwise ok.

Agree totally, you want it sorting, but a few rides won't kill it.

i spoke to kev a while back as i am in same situation as u stage 1 +2 dna and snorkel removed he told me should be ok short term till i get money for a power commander or kev mod.

spoke to my mechanic he just advised me to check my spark plug and see how bike feels i have since then done about 800 miles on several long runs everything seems fine fuel economy about same spark plug looks ok everytime i have checked and not noticed it to cause any problems with riding

that all being said i know when i add a power commander or kev mod it will tie all my modifications together so i would say as soon u have money grab a fuel modifier + the o2 thingas they will finish of bike nicely from what ive read and seen
