xtz front on a xtx

Hey guys,

Wanting to know if I can use the forks, calipers, rotors and hub from the front wheel off a xtz and use it on my xtx. I want dual discs. So I want to keep the stock xtx rim but with the hub from a xtz.

Good question and I will be very interested to see what our experts say, as this would really improve the fairly average brakes on the XTX.....

Because i'm 160kg and i feel that i would be better suited with more surface area on the brakes to pull my fat arse up.

Hi all,
The idea is good.
I believe a good point to start at is the nimbler of spokes and the width of the hub. You will need the latter to know what spacers you will need and if eventually you will have to make special ones. The length of the spokes is an issue of course but can be solved.

Kev, please correct me if I am looking at the wrong direction.

Both rims have the same number of spokes (36) struggling to find hub dimensions if the xtz. I'll have to go to the local stealership with my verniers and measure up.

If anyone on here has that info it would be appreciated?
