Post Riveting split link on chain?

Hi there,

I am trying to put together the spares for my soon-coming trip.
A new chain will be fitted before leaving. It comes with a master link plus a clip link.

I will take the clip one as a spare. Can this one be riveted to the chain too? Or shall I try to get a normal master link if I want to rivet it? (I will be taking a chain breaker/riveter with me).

Cheers

No, you can't rivet a clip link. You will need to get hold of another rivet master link.
