Hi all, Hello from Goole

Hi all, glad I found you??? I thought I'd bought a pup but after reading a few of the threads on here the running issues of my 2011 xt 660r can I guess be addressed!! I only bought it last week with 2000miles on the clock, rode it from Sheffield in the foul weather! I put the initial lumpiness down to riding to Sheffield (to pick up the xt) on my Fazer 1000 and this being a totally different animal! But today I went out in between rain drops to discover the bike was indeed still running awful at low speeds!! I do still have shop warranty on the bike ..... so do I take it back?? OR is it's behaviour normal and I have to get used to it and ride differently? When accelerating there is no problem and it handles pretty well and to top it, I bet I'm gonna have a lot of fun on this bike........ Dilemma!!! Tony

Hello again guys and thanks for the welcome, I look forward to meeting the local riders and will persevere in getting used to the bike, I've only done 50miles on it and most of that was riding back from Sheffield to Goole so I guess I haven't really given it a chance!! I did have a little pootle yesterday around the town and up the river bank which did make me smile..... like re-living the stripped Honda 50 days with a couple of mates on... sigh! See you out there? Tony

Thats good news. Thumpers do take a bit of getting used to if you've been riding multi cylinders. Any big trail bike is great for the smile factor
