RAM mount model dashboard/cockpit bar

Hi there,

quick post/report to put some information here about the RAM mounts I just put on my Ten, just in case anyone search for the same information in the future.

I wanted to be able to see the screen of my mobile (that I use as GPS atm) while driving around. This is the result:

The RAM mount/bracket model that holds onto the bar behind the dashboard is RAM-B-231Z-U. It fits fine if you use a bit of tube rubber from an old cycle tube or similar.

The socket model is Ram-B-201, which is probably too long. (I would personally recommend going for the shorter version RAM-B-201-A):

Very solid setup and no issues with vibrations. The long socket allows to bring the mobile a bit forward to have more visibility in case you want to see through the screen i.e. when offroading.

Hope it helps.
Cheers

I've a similar setup with no bodging and perfect fit.
Got my bits from here:

https://www.buybits.com/

Luckily, the shop isn't far from me so I could go and choose the bits i wanted and try them out there.

Yes, I looked at these ones too. A lot of different mounts in there too. Actually, I bought the phone case from them.
