looking with intent, am I getting bummed?
Im hoping to buy a xt real soon I've looked at 500's 600's 660's newer and older but I have been offered a xt660z tenere 1992 24km iported from Italy 1250 all is registered and ready for the road im planning on seeing it tomorrow or Sunday it looks ok for age but if im honest I feel as tho im shy of enough knowledge to decide whether this is a good opportunity or a potential disaster. This is a last minute ask for some advice but it will play a key role in my decision making. Any help will be valued.

Hi there. That seems very cheap. If it seems to good to be true it normally is - as they say. 660z are great bikes and apart from some of the finish going off not much serious go wrong with them. General condition is the best guide.

Oops I miss read your post - you typed xt660z and I assumed it was the new ones but 1992 is the xtz660. Still nice bikes and once again general condition is the tell tail indicator of how it was looked after. I looked into getting one cheap too before buying new and for that price I'd expect it do be in good, nice condition......if not walk away.
