Unfortunately (for me) I am not able to get to the NEC this year and thus have a spare adult ticket to Motorcycle Live (together with a car park ticket) worth 25 (both valid any day till Sunday December 1st).
Here’s the good bit - I’m going to give it away! ![]() Thought I’d make it a bit of a challenge though… So, you’ll have to answer a simple XT-related question if you want to “win” the ticket. The first correct answer posted by 20:00 GMT on Sunday wins. I’ll PM the winner, get address details and post the ticket off (at my expense) first class on Monday, meaning you should have it Tuesday or Wednesday. And here’s the question… What is the highest altitude (in metres) that an XT660 has been ridden to? ![]() The Small Print: One go/guess each and no “edited” posts accepted. In the event of nobody getting the exact answer first, the closest of all the answers wins at the close of the competition. |

The Result
Back in 2006 Damon IAnson rode his XT660R from the UK all the way to the 5,582 metre pass, Marsimik La in the Hymalayas, then with his Indian co-rider Pankaj, found a way up the scree covered mountainside until exhaustion and lack of traction took their toll and they could go no higher.
They reached 5,713 metres. Which means that RichW is the winner! ![]() PM sent. |
