Not enough side stand length

Hello fellow XTR owners.

When I bought the bike it was lowered and a bit too low for me. I've now put the standard links back in and raised the yokes to the top of the forks and it rides much better.

When I put it on the side stand it leans way too far over and can be puched quite easily.

Does any have a standard side stand or know where I can get one?

Available from AJ Sutton or your friendly Yamaha dealer:

Alternatively, if you have a local little engineering jobbing shop or blacksmiths shop, they should be able to add a sleeve and lengthen your existing stand.

Buy a new standard one and flog the shortened one on ebay?

I'd be tempted to cut the end off, weld on an extra bit of length and while your at it, add a bigger foot.
