Do DB killers work?

Hi, just like to say i've learned more about bikes this past week reading through these threads than i have in the past few years! great knowledge base for someone new to big singles - like me. i bought my 2004 xt660r last week with 3700 miles on it & carbon can co exhausts already fitted for 1700 whicjh i thought was a good price & still do. thing is its really loud, i was given the standard pipes with it but they weigh a ton so i'd like to keep the CCC exhausts but have them quiet(er), i saw these DB killers (a sort of baffle that slots into the inlet side of silencer) on ebay just wondering if anyone has any experience with them & do they work or am i wasting money? thanks.

I ran their DB kilers in my Carbon cans & they do make a nice difference. Somewhere on the forum I did some sound level tests with them in & out.
