headlight

hi
just come back from a 2500 trip to french/italian alps and the reflective backing
on the headlight as shaken it,s self loose.price of new headlight �142 tube of aradlight �7 will see if it lasts.

Its the adjuster mounts that will have gone. Mine went ages ago.

You can rebuild them to a fashion, but it doesn't last longer than 6 months.

The problem is, you cannot get in to rebuild the mount. If you take the lens off you still cannot get to the mounts, you have to do it from the back of the unit.

After a couple of times, repairing it gets a bit boring, and paying for a new light starts to look attractive !

Not had this problem with mine but did have something fall apart that had limited access..

I cut an access hold big enough to squeeze in a nice big blob of clear mastic and then pressed the thing back onto it using the hole where the light goes, that stuff make the perfect rubberised mount and it sticks to anything and lasts years...

That's what I would do....

ok ta will see how long it lasts,just put it back on the bike tonight. ready for a test run this weekend any excuse for a ride.
