Doh!
Stupid stupid stupid me... Filled it up with premium "higher octane" petrol and now it's running like a bag of spanners.
I know they are lumpy at 30 ish, but it's lumpy all the way through now... ****** it, need to start getting rid of the fuel ASAP. On a good note, it's now doing 57.5 mpg and that's with motorway daily use and TKC80's on. Love it! |

I run mine on 99RON all the time without issue, in fact I reckon it runs smoother? Are you sure you didn't put diesel in it!

It's not diesel, it's dreadful and roundabouts are just plain interesting now! Change up and drift out or lump my way around? What a choice
Our tech guy at work has had the same issue on one of his old bikes.... Just going to run the bike empty and put normal stuff back in, if it continues then I may have a dirty injector or something. |

I'll stick High Octane in, roughly every third fill-up.
Don't know why, haven't noticed a difference to the bike. Just thought I should do it. |

Personally (but I would love to hear some expert opinions please Kev) I have always preferred standard fuel plus a small amount of additive every month or two, to help keep the fuel and the injection system clean. I like Redex and STP and all of my bikes get some from time to time. Kev???

Double doh!
Turns out the lumpy running had nothing to do with the fuel and more to do with the fact the positive battery terminal was practically un-done.
Tightened it up again and it runs like a dream! |
