new XT660R owner

Hey guys,
Ive been floating around here for a while, when i started looking at bikes and ended up buyin a White XT660R back in february, it was a 2011 runout. Havnty clocked up alot of K's, but have nejoyed evry minute on the bike.
So far the ony mod to the bike is a BB Offroad bash plate.
Next mod will be better tires, something a little more bush friendly.

Hey mate, welcome to the forum.

I've got a 2011 R as well. Lovin' it! While the surging wasn't too bad on my bike from new (compared to the reported surging on the earlier models) I did notice it and it started to bug me when i was in traffic at steady revs. So i invested a grand total of about $120 to buy Kev's O2 controller and fuel mod. Simple to install and now the surging is, for all intents, CURED! Very smooth now and even more fun.

So, my advice to you is that the Kev mods are the best value performance modifications you can do. Oh, then you'll wanna rip out the snorkel, get a better filter, fix the front suspension sag, change the gearing, get some lighter cans..........
