XTX newbie

Hi Guys,

I have been looking longingly at super motos for a couple of years now and was set on a husky SM610R but after reading a few reviews about service intervals and reliability issues I turned to the safety of the bulletproof Japanese. My plan was to get the XT next year but following my girlfriends decision to get a 125 to learn on I had to get something a little more useable at slower speed than my R6 to follow her around on.
Obviously I was gutted that I had to bring my plans forward and buy a second bike so soon but soldiered on bravely. I picked up a 2007 XTX this weekend and following a grin filled couple of days riding in the sunshine, now plan to personalise the bike and improve the stock performance.
The guy who sold me the bike had spent some money on mods, K&N filter, iridium plug and a Magnum performance chip. The chip has never been fitted and I have searched the web for any real reviews before I consider installing it.
Has anyone here had any experience with these:

I am looking to add a power commander in the next couple of months and was wondering if this Magnum kit was even worth bothering with.

Welcome mate.

Expensive fools gold, the only 2 devices that have been proven to control the closed loop O2 sensor circuit are Dyno Jets O2 optimizer & my O2 controller we have proven on the Dyno the others don't work.

If you are getting a PCV fit an Optimizer or one of my O2 controllers or get used to the bike surging.
