Fuse blowing

Can any one help. Riding home in torential rain my sidelights horn and indicators didn't work on my XT660Z k10. After a quick inspection the fuse had blown. Replaced the next day and tested, everything okay. When bike is turned on everthing works but as soon as you fire it up the fuse for the lights and indicator blow, everytime. This happens only when the starter button is pressed. I a bit stuck in what is wrong. Anyone else had the same problem and sorted it.
Thanks Ian

Difficult to say, but... The most likely scenario is abraded wiring somewhere in the loom - it is a relatively common issue, causing a short to earth. Start by taking the tank off and having a good visual inspection. Also check all the multiplugs for corrosion, particularly the ignition switch, along with handlebar controls and main fuse/starter relay.

After that you're going to have to get the multimeter out an methodically continuity test the wiring.

BTW - Welcome on board!
