Great idea, not high enough milage, far too expensive!

Should look into some form of hybrid rather than a full electric for greater range etc.

I first saw this video last year featuring the Zero DS. Sums up electric bikes pretty well I think...

When I first saw them I hated them. I didn't like that there was so sound or smell of an engine. But now that I've become more conscious of the environment (I know, boring drag that I am) I've started to warm to them. I know they're not anywhere near reaching thier potential at the moment but that's because there is very little demand for them. But we can't rely on petrol forever so they are the next alternative. IMO once they became capable of speed, distance and reliable for us to enjoy our adventures on, what ever they may be, then, then I'd buy one. But not right now.
