Lakes Meet - Some changes
Firstly I will apologise. Due to an on going health problem that I won't bore you with, I've not been able to get out on the bike for any length of time for the last few months. I was hoping this issue wasn't going to be a problem for me, but alas I'm not getting better fast enough. Although I should be fit enough to ride in a couple of weeks.
I've discussed this with the Planning Team, and collectively we've made some changes to the weekend. I thought it only fair to give you guys some warning. As I've not been able to ride, or drive much for that matter, I haven't been able to get out and plan any of the NavXT. Neither have I been able to pester any businesses to contribute to the prize fund. As a result, it is with regret that I have to announce the NavXT will not run this year. You will have noticed a lack of communication regarding the event, this is because I really didn't want to admit to myself it wasn't going to happen. ------ However, we will ensure that you have something to keep you busy...... Thursday - Arrival, that's all. Friday - Stumpy Dave will take you out a guide those that want to go, around some green lanes. Usually we get folk arriving on the Friday so they can catch up later if they please. Saturday - This is the change. Rather than the NavXT there will be some guided runs available if you want to join them. We'll have a run up around Kielder (taking in the forest drive, 11 miles of dirt road, suitable for road tyres). THere will be some routes made available for the Lakes and into the Dales if anyone wants a change of scenery. Sunday - clear up the site, pack up, go home. I'll put up another post with the other details in the "everything you need to know " thread (which will stay stick)

GULG - Sorry to hear you're a bit crook and wish you well soon.
I am going to dip out as I have an enduro training event on the 5th May and a race on the 19th, so I'll need the weekend in the middle to sort myself and the bike. I'm also entered into the K2 Kielder Rally early June, so it's not as if I'll not get a good ride out up there over the two day event with 160 miles per day!! Hope you all have a super weekend. Cheers Mark

Dude! I hope you're mending fella.
Don't beat yourself up too much though, you know it'll still be an awesome meet. Let's be honest, there will be bikes, probably beers, lakes, sunshine? It'll still be a blast. I for one can't wait to get up there fella (in fact, I'm getting my new knobbly boots on next week whoop, whoop!)

Looks like I'll have to come in the van again and as such I can bring along a big tent for you to use and a big air bed! This year is going to be more relaxed and it will be an opportunity for you to 'practice' sight seeing with the missis.................and she can meet some really really nice people!
