Hello from mexico

hi, iam a 660 tenere fan, and i am thinking really to buy me one, but i have my doubts, the tenere in mexico, is more expensive than the v-strom, and the v-strom is a 2 cylinders bike, and have a better equipment, i think is too heavy for a trail 1 cylinder bike, but , when i see the xt660z tenere is pure love, i really like the tenere look and i want to ask you, if is ok in the off road and how is in the freeway?

Bienvenidos!

Hello,

I recently moved from Los Angeles to Israel, and now I have a new Tenere.

My Dad lived in Ensenada, B.C. so I used to ride quite a bit in Baja California. I'd say that the Tenere would do MUCH better in Baja style riding than a VStrom, that you spoke of. The VStrom has a great motor, but is a dog off-road.

At freeway speeds, I consider the Tenere much more comfortable then the BMW 650XC I had in the USA. If you have ridden any of the BMW 650 versions in Mexico, then you will have an idea of how the Tenere will perform, also.

The Tenere would be your best bet for an all around bike, commuting and trail riding. The V-Strom is a better street bike, in my opinion.

Vaya con Dios, Madmax

^^I concur!

If you're only going to ride on the road then the V-Strom is definitely worth a shout, but if you want to do a bit of everything then look no further than the Tenere.
