Hi from Bedfordshire, UK
Hi all!
Just got back home having bought a 2009 XT660R (registered in 2011, so it only has 2000 miles). Love it to bits!! My other bike is a K1300S, so the XT feels somewhat underpowered, as I expected, but I'm sure it's going to be a hoot and a nice change from the K13. I'd really love some feedback on how to get the best out of single. Being used to 175bhp of inline 4, I found I was revving the nuts off the bike with little response. Overtaking is going to take a lot of care compared to on the K13!! |

Don't bother revving the nuts off it - it will wheeze a lot & nothing much else will happen....
Ride the torque between 3.5 & 6k RPM, head for the twistiest B roads you can find, & don't bother with motorways!! You can throw lots of cash at it, but it'll never be a sportsbike. |
