hi everyone ,great site, i have a guestion, i have purchased a 2005 xt660x running micron pipes k-n filter and power commander iii usb, bike runs well but pops alot on over run sounds great, was woundering if there is anyway to check power commander by using the buttons on front panel as i didnt get usb connector on cd with it, think it might be a bit lean, thanks look forward to your reply.

Hello and welcome to everything you'll ever need to know that's XT related..

The popping on overrun is the AIS and you'll need to disconnect the pipe. Essentially when the throttles closed the electronics open a valve via a solenoid I think that puts air into the exhaust gases so they burn off or pop/bang.

Don't play with the electronics or mechanism, just disconnect the pipe or you'll have more troubles with the ECU getting confused.

I've done this with my Ten' but you'll have to search the forum for how to with your X.

If it runs well and you think it sounds great, then don't worry about it - leave it alone and enjoy!
