Battery dead

Hi

Without making this too long - a couple of weeks ago got the Ten out for a ride after it had been stood for 5 weeks.

It is always connected to an Optimate as per the instructions from the supplying dealer - tried to start it and the battery was dead. Jumped it off from my car and took it out for a 30 mile spin.

The next week got the bike out again and again the battery is dead - called the dealer and they are sorting out a warrenty claim.

Have had the existing battery on a battery charger then the Optimate and will try it again tonight - if the battery is again flat is the charging system knackered or the battery?

Any thoughts

Pete

Just pulled the bike out of the garage and off the Optimate - one press of the button and she fired up like a good'un.

Battery it must be.
