Greetings from the west coast of South Africa

Hi all,

I am a Tnr newby and proudly so!

My name is Emile and I live in Langebaan - a small town on the west coast of South Africa. My forum name "WeskusKlong" is in my native language and literary means "guy from the west coast". The town is well known for its wild flowers during the flower season (now). I suppose this is the first flower pic on the site but hey you gotta agree I live in paradise

We have a Yamaha dealer in a town about 30km from us - in Vredenburg. When I told the owner about my desire to own a Tn he promptly ordered one. According to him it is the 2013 spec. I am not 100% sure but since the 2012 ones here are blue or black, I recon this is the case. I rather like the steel grey color. This photo was taken when it was still @ the dealer. No topbox and hand guards yet:

First day of ownership. Just got home:

Anyway this seems to be a great site, by reading some posts here I've already learned a lot about the Tn.

Cheers!

Hi and welcome to the site - thanks for the intro and photos - bike looks great in grey. I imagine you have a great playground for the bike too.
Enjoy the site.

Hi Emile and welcome to the forum. The matt grey is a great colour for the Ten - tones down the grey plastic a treat. Enjoy the new ride mate.

Think you're right to be sceptical - I'm sure your bike is a 2012MY, blue was last available for 2011MY (not 2012). Black of course has been available every year since the beginning (because it's the best colour ).

Congrat's on the purchase and welcome..

I've not seen this colour before so could well be a 2013 - either way your Ten' looks great and what a lovely place to live..

Happy Riding..
