Found in Thailand and brought to life by a Scotsman

After finding this XTX 06 in Thailand I had to bring it to life. That is not so easy with a bike that is not even known in these parts.

But with some advise and information from Kev , Capt Moto and some of your threads, this is what i have managed. Once the parts arrived and mods arrived it only took 3 days to finish....

The only thing left is what to do with the spokes- Paint black or ship some stainless steel ones over??

Before Mods-

After mods-

Some people might say Flat Black is an old idea now but it still looks good and I did that work in one day on the balcony of my appartment. Replacing the plastics would have cost a small furtune in shipping and Laquer needs a more controlled enviroment to get a good finish- I maybe will had some ghost flames next month and will need to add the clear coat to get the best results then.
For now i'm happy

Thanks Man,
I went with the best that was available and the LED indicators I had on my 250 as well as the tail light. The indicators are especially good because they have rubber mounts so the lens covers don't break from vibration and if I kick them when get on or off the bike no worries either!

I hacksaw took care of the chop and the storage space under the seat is untouched.

It sounds Just right, if I open it up when i.e calibrating the throttle outside the condo yeah i'll get complaints but if your just driving in traffic or cruising in town you can barley hear it Even though I removed the AIS completly it still pops a little if I'm coming off full throttle but on these streets thats my horn for don't pull out on me

I'm using a PCV with snorkel removed and Co2 up 10 with stage 2 DNA and two maps off this site. I also did the throttle mod and fork spacer mod I reckon it runs great. So good I think don't think i'll bother with the Auto Tune. I don't remember exactly what speed or the gear I was in but on one of the maps it had a very slight surge one day I can live with it, When I learn more about the PCV I will be able to fix that I'm sure.

I was look at a flat grey paint but it just looked like primer coat and so continued with the black. You can't go wrong with it. Like I said maybe doing some airbrush work on it next month. As you know Thailand has motor bikes everywhere so when parking you will get other bikes mirrors and brake levers that will mark your paint or panels, so i just wanted to do it cheap and when it needs it hit it with another 4 dollar spray can No fuss you can't go wrong
