Engine cut out on a roundabout...

Luckilly it was quiet, but as i was coming off the roundabout in 3rd gear the engine totally cut out on me. Im quite sure it wasnt a stall though because i wasnt on the throttle. There was no juddering or anything, i just went to accelerate and there was nothing! Strange, but nothing too serious!

Try adjusting (increasing) the tickover, or idle speed, on the left hand side there is a screw on the throttle body turn that screw half a turn, hopefully next time when you decelerate on a hot engine the bike will still have a mimimal tickover and shouldn't cut out.

When my son rode his XTR he often had the motor cut out, part riding technique, but an Iridum plug seam to do the trick.

Idle speed must be set to 1500rpm when hot.

Yes,me too...I posted that I was glad it wasnt on a roundabout!
But there's no warning is there?!...changing up from 3rd and on an overtake on route to test centre, first 'proper' ride but a quick press on the starter ...and carries on where it left off...instructor going 'come on,get going' blah blah over the radio but of course, I cant tell him what's just happened ..hhh.
Weird tho and thanks for the advice!
