MT03 owner

Hello
I'm a thumper fan most of all. I have owned and driven ALL of yamaha's road going thumpers. Well, with a few exemptions like the TW series. The best so far was a SRX600, which took me around the north of Europe for a good 4 seasons. Hoping the MT03 will give me as good a relationship. Just clocked the first 1500KM. My purpose here will be to learn and share engine issues, especially with focus on topics for us who drive in the tropics. You may find me on a lot of other forums, but I'm seldom active I'm sorry to say.

and to

I like the MT03, the only thing I don't like is the saddle is too shallow and hurts your bottom on long rides.

Exclamation Photos please

Hi Daniel,

Welcome to XT660.com.

I've never seen an MT-03 on the road. Great looking bike though. I love the engine in my XT660R. Would go well in a naked I reckon. How are the vibrations?

Looking forward to seeing some piccies...

Welcome. I too had a SRX some years ago and put twin carbs (had to cut the tank), open pipes, rear sets, drops etc - great bike.

Seen a few MT-03's on the road here and they look a good road bike.
