Fork Gaiters - Anyone Fitted Them?
I was wondering if anyone has removed the original fork guards and replaced them with fork gaiters like those that come on the Tenere? Not sure how they would look.
Thoughts anyone?

The fork gaiters will fit behind the guards and is what I intend to do very soon.
You could cut the guards off over the forks and leave the shroud around the bottom of the head light if you know what I mean. I have looked at cutting it down but decided to fit boots under it all to keep the good looks. |

Why not use those neoprene covers that fix with velcro? Looks like an easy fit solution & makes cleaning a breeze.

After 4 years, the original boots tore open
I got prices from dealer - South African rand - R 1 879.00 Searched for aftermarket, was advised it would not last as long as originals, got a set for R 285.00 The new rubber seems far thicker than original At the price I paid, I can replace them every second year and I can do it for 12 years before I make up the money Quite happy with quality, can't see why it's necessary to fit originals |
