Wow, not sure how youve managed that, ive had the standard yam plate on from new and ive dented it on several occasions, twice its hit the downpipes (hence a two into one system now) but never have i ripped it. Now ive moved my pipes ive just left the more recent dents.

Smashed my standard one in half the first time i rode it , it was on the Sarn Helen though which is quite rocky, i found the Touratech one to be fantastic never had any problems with it even after a 4x4 hit me , the bashplate protected everything

Get an Aussie made B&B bash plate (the toughtest bash plates on the planet) I have them on all my bikes and have never bent or dented any of them.
