Rear Spokes
Has anyone fitted spokes from
www.offtheroad.de ? I have got a rear set but they appear to be too thick and neither end will go through the holes in the hub or rim. All the part numbers are correct and its a standard wheel. Maybe they have been packaged wrong? Filing the holes out doesn't seem a sensible option and I can't contact them for a couple of days. Re-ordering will also be ball ache as I'm in the USA now. Just wondered if anyone has encountered this before.

sounds like you may have got Excel spokes by mistake, they are bigger diameter and only for Excel rims which OTR sell, it might be worth a call to Excel here in the States, it might be cheaper to get a rim rather than go backwards and forwards to Germany...and quicker

They got back to me and have sent me the heavy duty off road spokes. They said the holes will need drilling. Waiting for a second delivery wasn't an option so that's what I've done. Easy to do and I've now got a stronger wheel to boot.
