Spada Sting
Hi guys
Just bought a new Spada Sting and was wondering: After reading the review in the recent Adventure Rider mag, it states that the Sting is ACU approved along with gold sticker. Only thing is, there is no Gold ACU sticker on the helmet. Is this normal? If no sticker how do I know its ACU? It does have the EC sticker which is fine, just no gold one. Does it make any difference? Also, I got the helmet from Ghostbikes along with a large multi pack of earplugs, only to find that instead of opening the helmet box and putting the pack inside, or even sending the pack separately, there was a 6" long hole in the helmet box that they`ve done to jam the pack inside. Anyone had same experiences as obviously i panicked due to it being a helmet inside. DOn`t think I`ll be using this company again as it seems a bit dodgy? Other than that, the helmet is a big improvement on my old HJC dual sport one, especially in terms of quality. Much more tighter against the face though, than I`m used to but I`m sure I`ll get used to it. Ryben |

The lack of a gold sticker could stop you passing scruitenering at certain events and races.
If you are never going to take part in a track day or enduro/rally event etc then don't worry about it. the slash in the box sounds a bit lazy on their part fancy the very same helmet but looking at one from the USA as its the same but in hi vis yellow

Yeh not too worried about the sticker, as dont think I`ll be doing any enduros, well not in the immediate future....
Was just curious.
And yes, the slash in box seems to be `just` the right size for the loose items to be stuffed into the box as an after thought, but Ghostbikes have said it wasn't them, and was probably done in transit....but im a cynical git so who knows .. Yeah the helmet looks like its branded by many different companies. Its the AFX-57 or something? Looks like they had many many different colour choices. But I wanted a white helmet so the Sting was ideal.. Ryben |
