Recovering seat tonight

Brought some seat vinyl http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UNIVERSAL-...ht_1718wt_1270

going to try and fit this tonight, does anyone have any tips/suggestions for me.

Some say to use tack spray/glue before covering some say dont

I will take pics of my steps so if it goes well it can help out other people.

My tip would be to just make sure you do it in as warm an environment as you can possibly find. Makes the vinyl stretch more easily, gets the creases out and will shrink around the contours when it cools. If you fit it cold, it'll look like a wrinkly old sow's ass in warm weather!!

Have a look in the mod section for details, you need a hair drier & a staple gun.

Here we are - The Result

Started with this, for some reason the plastic base was all bent and outta shape

So i brought this

Took staples out and also sanded in one direction lightly to soften the seat, little more comfortable

Brought some vinyl off ebay - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3306872920...ht_1734wt_1297
Nice stuff, using a hair dryer and a cheap staple gun that schools use for putting pictures on the wall I started at the back of the seat and it all went wrong, so whatever you do start at the front of the seat and get the curve sorted first.

And ended with this, took 2 people and a long time but looks good
