OTR or SWM qiuck lock rack for Peli cases

I can get a pair of 25liter cases similar to pelican for just 80€.

My plan is to use luggage racks from "off the road"

Do you think that SW-Motech Evo rack will work together with the quick-lock adapter for Hepco-Becker plastic panniers?

Or the OTR rack together with the mounting kit for alu panniers?

If both would fit I prefer the SWM qiuck lock system as I may get the TraX panniers in another life when I've become a billionair.

By the way... here's my bike

I don't see it as an option from your point of view, but should consider H&B... clearly better than SW... I haven't seen OTR but H&B vs SW is clearly H&B from my point of view.

cheaper options still

Just buy soft luggage and a roll of gaffer tape (if case they get ripped).

or plastic jerry cans.

The SWM rack system works well in practice, but is not as strong as others. The weak point is the rear stay, which attaches to the number plate bracket. It does not go straight from one side to the other and in a fall will bend outwards and rearwards, and as it is attached, will push the mudguard assembly out causing damage. The one OTR rack I've seen looks impressively strong (20mm tube). For price/strength combo though you can't go far wrong with the Holan rack.

Well, I do like the ida of soft luggage, lightweigt, cheap, and not as bulky as boxes. But I have tried soft luggage (oxford sports panniers) and it's not for me. I want to have waterproof luggage that can be locked to the bike. Therefore boxes. The alu-panniers are all very expensive, often to large and not that good looking. That's why I like the pelicase version.

Thanks for the info about SWM weakness.

The Holan rack looks really good. I might go for that. But I can not find any fasteners as spare parts to fit the boxes to the rack. Is there a solution to this? I know a lot of people do combine different makes, so there has to be a way?
