finally got an xtx
hi all i have put a deposit on an xt which i think is value, its standerd 07 plate done 24k for 2k off ebay item no

I have an 07 XTX and it's great, but can't see what's so wrong with an 04. Just follow the extensive guides on here and you'll have it sorted soon, if it isn't already of course.
I actually prefer the look of the pre 07 models with the longer front cowls and slightly rounder bodywork. Not that I'm offering a swap or anything, but be happy, you've got a great bike. Any pics?

I have an 08 XTX
I rewired it 2004 style and replaced ECU also. Bike now runs much better. So, I think, in theory, your 04 bike will run smoother than the 07 model.. 
I don't know how the other year bikes compare but my 08 didn't run so well before ECU swap. LambdaBolx
