xt660r after 1000miles

well Ive just done a 1000miles on my xtr and this is what i think about it
I LOVE IT the more i ride it the more i like it, i must admit i hated it at first coming from a zx10r 08 and it took me a couple of hundred miles to adapt but adapt i have, i love the comfort, i love the handling which surprised me how good it was and i love the 70mpg i don't like the surging but Ive managed to buy a second hand pc111 so hopefully that's sorted.
i think its a keeper

Hiya..I,ve had mine a few weeks now, done about 2k miles (06..6500 on clock),and I'm totally addicted..I live by the famous A40 in South Wales and by 7pm everybody's gone home,so I go out, and sometimes it's 20-30 miles of deserted twisties..it's a great machine..it's so many different sorts of bike in one..it'll cruise quietly and relaxed at 60-65,then up a side road and it ploughs through all the farmers crud no worries, steady as a rock..and when the coast's really really clear of course!!! ,back on the A40..crank the throttle wide and it's like sitting astride a missile..I even love the lack of weather protection..just makes it all the more of an "outside in the weather" thing..sure I get soaked..and covered in crap..but if someone tried to take it from me I'd chop their arms off...easy and quick to clean but d'ya know?..it even looks great with big chunksa muck on it...glad you like it..

I bought mine new just over two years ago, got just over 12k on the clock now and wouldnt swap her for owt else. Shes been crashed bashed thrashed n smashed, modded unmodded and remodded again with sooo many changes to list. She takes all the use and abuse I throw at her and never complains. I might just have to get another if and when I manage to kill this one!!
