Help!! Loss of power, cutting out
I've recently purchased a 2007 (facelift) 660X and I'm having a few problems.
The bike starts and runs fine on tickover but it doesn't seem to pull clean through the revs, I can only explain it as having a huge flatspot?? If you give is some revs it will go through the flat spot no problem. Also when its been running for about ten minutes it losses all power and won't start easily, when it does start it'll tick over then cut out if you try to rev it, if you don't rev it then it'll cut out on it's own after about 10 secs?? If i sit there for a few mins it'll finally start and run again. I know all the usual issues they have as this is my 4th 660X Any help would be greatly appreciated. P.s the bike is standard with the exception of Pipeworx cans and snorkel removed |

Does it have a power commander ? As I had the same issues but found I had wrong map for computer found another that worked better and solved my problem

That sounds to me like a TPS malfunction. (Throttle Position Sensor) Please speak to Kev and he can give you some pointers.
However to be able to receive Kev's one to one assistance you need to be an XT Supporter otherwise see if you can find the solution within our list of modifications as per my signature line. Good luck |

The faulty TPS range.
Any TPS below 46 is now in the faulty range, A1 or A2 versions included. 2009 > XT's now come with a different TPS again & it looks completely different to the one shown below.

No it doesn't have a pc, I'll probably put kevs mod on the airbox sensor though

Sorry I forgot to mention that it all boiled down to a faulty plug cap/ht lead, not sure which one as I changed both.
