Rubber on Yamaha Pannier rear footpeg mounting!

Only had the bike less than a month an noticed that the rubber cover on the rear passenger foot peg mounting for the OEM Yamaha panniers is not there any more! ... should have left the panniers on...Made a temporary fix with an old car rubber mat but is this normal for them to come off? & are there any alternatives to waiting for my local Yamaha dealer to order one once he finds a part number?
Cheers for your help

I know it doesnt help now but I used Araldite and glued mine on and havent had any problems. Worth doing when you get a replacement one

I had the same problem , want to the dealer , and they took another one from stock in 2 seconds , so they knew the problem and had them in stock ...

no idea about the partnumber , sold the cases , as they broke down on me too much ...

someone here drilled a hole through the ruber and the mount and used a cable tie to tie them together.

I lost both of mine pretty quickly and didn't bother to replace them.

I cut a few rings in a old tyre tube and wrapped them around the support.

Job done.

Mine have both escaped. Replaced with pipe-lagging and gaffa tape.
