UK Bikes, coming up for first MOT Test
There are still one or two of us out there with original 2008 bikes (me, JMo, TenereDoug I can think of) , and from next month these will be coming up for the MOT Test....
I'm curious to know if any of them get fails, or advisories, and what for? Mine is booked in for the end of May and I don't anticipate any issues, but you just never know.

I'm hoping mine won't fail... it had most if it's original bits replaced in 2009!

Think mine is due at the end of june don't envisage any problems but my levers may need replacing as they are cut down, shouldnt be a problem as i know the tester is a decent fella

"Race exhaust" was my failure....my advice is just stick the originals back on before you go to the test centre.
They "sold me" some Db killers at the centre...they didn't fit very well, and there was no noticeable decrease in the volume/loudness of the exhaust to me (!!)...but they passed it. (and took my money) There is no "noise meter", it's up to the discretion of the tester..

Had mine done today, three years old this September and all is well, the whole process took all of fifteen minutes and cost 25 (is that too much).

Just wondering if there is an emissions test as part of the MoT for bikes registered '08 and later. |
