Bar Risers
Could someone tell me the benefits of fitting bar risers? Is it for cruising comfort for taller riders or purely for when you stand on the pegs?
Also, how would one decide on the height of the riser?

In the XT's case I think its for when standing on the pegs. A taller rider may prefer a higher handlebar so may also wish to raise the bar height.
Other than that its a load of hassle getting longer cables or rerouting them as best you can to free them up so you can turn lock to lock.

I get the feeling that that's what they're for too Tony, might be wrong though? Just was browsing around and thought I found another reason to spunk my money. I'm happy with the bars so they'll probably stay as they are....I've never used risers so was curious what they're benefits were.

My XTX has the standard bars at the moment but I have ridden an XTX with risers. It was just plain odd to me. I did not ride it long enough to know if it was better or worse, it just felt odd. Helpful I dont know just my oppinion mate.

I need risers for standing off road as I'm 6' 3" and i have to stoop . On road I can't see a benefit tho.
