Help with Tyres

Hi guys

I posted a thread on here a month or two ago and got some great help. As a result I have bought a super tenere. I unfortunately have one more question for you guys>

Please can you suggest a good dual purpose tyre that will be good in mud and loose gravel and also stable at 160km/h

If you even get such a tyre.

Once again thanks for all the help this site is awesome.

Options are limited for the Xt1200z
TKC80 as mentioned
Metzeler Karoo 2's
Both of the above are only Q rated so no flat out blats please.
There are also
Kenda Big Blocks K784 but no uk importer for these yet
Heidenhau K60s but these dont appear to be available until later in the year (none since mid last year)
and just spotted on mytyres.co.uk Full Bore USA? http://ssl.delti.com/cgi-bin/rshop.p...dsco=110&m_s=1
or Mitas E10 Adventure tyre

I run TCKs. Great for most things - even snow ;-)

Get a bit scary at 100mph (160kph) with boxes on though. They will cruise at 80-85 easily, above that I have to seriously loosten my grip on the bars to stop it weaving.

Mine have lasted 4500 miles (7200kms) so far (inc. 1000 on my previous crap GSA).

Getting close to changing the rear, perhaps another 500 - 1000 miles yet. Most of my riding has been in bad weather so not hammered much.

The problem you have is that a good mud tyre is never going to be good at 160kph. You just cannot have both. Having said that, I dont suppose you get much snow either !
