Respoking and changing rim colour

Not a project I plan to do anytime soon but does anyone know rough costs to get an XTX respoked with stainless spokes?

My spokes are rusty as hell and in the future I would like to respoke them in stainless. It may be too expensive but I would be interested to know the costs.

Also I love the gold rims on the bike below, does anyone have an idea how much getting the black XTX rims done would cost.

Again its just an enquiry at this stage, just assessing whether its worth doing as its the only thing that lets my bike down. (I did paint the spokes as a short term fix but I know its was not the real answer.

PS I love this bike picture, its the only grey bike I have seen that looks fantastic.

Tony, I was just quoted 70 for the Stainless spokes, 50 to fit, per wheel, from Wheelwise. That should give you an idea.

Also, a new 18" Excel Rim (to give you an idea) 120 +vat.

I have only this quote, as fortunately there is a wheel spoker near me. But the turn-around time is 6-10 weeks, so that sounds like a winter job!

Cheers guys, sounds like a winter project then whilst the bike is off the road due to snow/ice etc.

Good food for thought. I think the respoke is a possibility then. May knock the rim change though, thats too much.

As I do my day job I may ask people the same questions and see what I come up with.

Sorry, his name is Brokenlegs not HEadster, Headster is the graphics design guy.

His turn around is about a week or so.
